It’s been a busy couple of months here at the Tap room so apologies for the lack of updates! As the dreaded traditional Christmas mayhem approaches we thought it would be a good time to reflect on all the awesome times we’ve had recently.
October saw us hold our last BBQ of the year as an official middle finger up at the British weather. We fired up the grill and homemade our own burger patties infused with our Stout topped with our house Sriracha sauce infused with… Yep – you guessed it – even more Stout. We also managed to get our hands on some pretty hefty Chicken Wings and marinaded them in Asian spices.
Following that we had even more celebrating to do, as it was time to celebrate this year’s brew of Envy (something we are now rapidly running out of) so we paired up with The Feastie Boys to offer a day of good beer drinkin’ and good sandwich eatin’ – The perfect combo! The Feastie Boys didn’t disappoint with awesome food and Beef Doughnuts (Which we reckon sold out in record time.)
We rounded off the end of October with our celebration of Day of the Dead and sneakily managed to coincide this with this year’s brew of Dark Alliance – our Coffee Stout in collaboration with Arbor & Clifton Coffee. Little Taqueria showed up to add some awesome authentic Mexican food to the mix and we also managed to turn some of the Brewery out back into a mini cinema showing Halloween classics (Keep your eyes peeled for this in the future!)
In November we got our dancing shoes on and our (plastic) mustaches out for GingerBeard Preserve’s 1st Birthday. We were all too happy to play host to Harry & His awesome preserves as we celebrated what a year it has been for him. We collaborated with Little Taqueria to produce a one off special Taco for the event – Tacos de Lengua – Tender chunks of beef tongue cooked in our Stout topped with hot Salsa de arbol and the Left Bank Jam Band came down to play some smooth jams.
